Job Description:

The Cash Receipt Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely posting of incoming payments across patient accounts. This role includes reconciling daily deposits, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining financial accuracy within the system. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a dynamic workload.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile daily deposits and apply payments to appropriate patient accounts
• Post transactions manually and electronically within the system
• Process lockbox payments and ensure correct allocation
• Research and resolve unidentified or misapplied payments
• Maintain detailed and audit-ready financial records
• Communicate with payers to clarify discrepancies or missing information
• Transfer funds and adjust entries across accounts as needed
• Handle returned payments, including insufficient funds or stop payments
• Record remittance details and ensure accurate documentation
• Track daily batch totals and complete reconciliations
• Partner with internal teams to resolve account issues
• Support process improvements and team initiatives

Qualifications:

• Experience with cash posting, payment application, or refund processing required
• Healthcare revenue cycle or insurance experience required
• Epic system experience required

Additional Details:

• Schedule: Flexible start time between 7:00 AM–8:30 AM (8-hour workday)
• Work Environment: Remote with occasional onsite requirements
• Employment Type: Contract-to-hire
