Your impact

As a GIS Analyst  supporting electrical transmission  and energy infrastructure projects, you will play an essential role in planning, routing, environmental assessment, and permitting of projects dedicated to creating resilient energy systems for communities. You will work with engineers, planners, and permitting specialists, organizing and transforming geospatial data to help optimize transmission corridor alternatives, minimize environmental impact, and support regulatory approvals.

Your expertise in spatial analysis will help bridge technical, environmental, regulatory, and stakeholder engagement, improving utility networks across North America.

Responsibilities:

  • You will develop and maintain various datasets in GIS that support transmission lines, substations, renewable energy, and utility corridor projects.
  • Publish and maintain GIS web services through ArcGIS Online/Portal.
  • Develop dashboards for visualizing project progress, and QC processes.
  • Create and maintain mobile data applications for field data collection using (ESRI Field Maps)
  • Perform corridor routing, site suitability, and alternatives analysis using GIS.
  • Support mapping of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, 
  • Provide GIS analysis in support Certificates of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need

Here's what you'll need

  • 5 years of professional experience as a GIS Analyst, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, Python (arcpy, pandas). 
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Sciences, or similar field

90,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

95,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $95,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
