Job Description

Primary Job Title: Pipe Welder

Location: Irving, Texas

Contract Details:

  • Employment Type: Full-time (40+ hours per week).
  • Shift/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM; must be able to work some Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Compensation: $18–$25 per hour, based on experience.


Job Summary:
A skilled Pipe Welder is needed to join a team in Irving, Texas. The ideal candidate will proficiently perform various welding processes to fabricate and weld pipe and structural steel components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG, TIG, flux-core, or stick welding processes on pipes and structural steel ranging from 1" to 48" in diameter, adhering to ASME and API codes.
  • Fabricate finished metal products, including fittings and pipes, according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Position and secure workpieces, using appropriate tools and equipment, to prepare for welding.
  • Conduct weld tests and inspections, including destructive and non-destructive examinations, to ensure weld quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines and protocols.


Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with MIG and TIG welding processes.
  • 3+ years of experience welding pipes.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.


Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Experience with flux-core and stick welding processes.
  • Experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.


Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
  • Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.


Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in flux-core and stick welding techniques.
  • Familiarity with welding safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to operate various fabrication equipment and tools.
