Job Description

The MIG Welder will be responsible for performing basic welds on a daily basis, following blueprints to meet customer specifications. The role requires collaboration with production supervisors to achieve set goals. This position involves lifting up to 50lbs throughout the day and laying beads on steel and metal, commonly at a thickness of 3/8th of an inch. The job is within a construction fabrication setting, where each day presents new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic welds according to blueprints and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with production supervisors to meet daily goals.
• Lay beads on steel and metal, typically 3/8th of an inch thick.
• Lift up to 50lbs throughout the day.
• Participate in various construction fabrication tasks.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints.
• One year of welding experience or recent certification.
• One year of fabrication experience using specified equipment.
• Strong ability to follow instructions and take orders.
• Safety-oriented mindset.

Work Environment

The work environment is a non-climate controlled open metal fabrication facility. It is decently warm during winter and colder when shipping doors are open. During summer, it is warmer but has plenty of airflow. The position is on the first shift, Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Employees are provided with eye and hearing protection, but must have steel-toed boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
