HCM Data Migration Specialist

Location: Remote

Type: Permanent / Temp-to-Perm

Start Date: ASAP

We’re supporting a growing organisation undergoing HR systems transformation and are looking for an experienced HCM Data Migration Specialist to join the team.

This role will focus on the migration, validation, and optimisation of employee and HR data across HCM platforms, supporting large-scale system implementation and post-go-live stabilisation efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HCM/HRIS data migration projects, excellent data handling skills, and experience working with sensitive employee information in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support end-to-end HCM data migration activities
• Extract, cleanse, validate, and transform employee data from legacy systems
• Map data fields between source and target HCM platforms
• Identify and resolve migration discrepancies and data integrity issues
• Support testing, UAT, and post-migration validation processes
• Work closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and implementation teams
• Maintain high standards of data privacy and security when handling sensitive PII
• Assist with process improvement and migration documentation
• Support ongoing HR systems optimisation initiatives where required

Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience within HCM/HRIS data migration projects
• Strong experience working with platforms such as Workday, Rippling, UKG, or similar HCM systems
• Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Comfortable handling confidential employee and payroll data
• Experience working across cross-functional HR and IT environments
• Familiarity with modern productivity and AI tools such as Claude
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• U.S. hours overlap preferred (EST)

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting global or multi-region migrations
• Exposure to HR automation or workflow optimisation projects
• Previous experience within fast-scaling or transformation-focused environments
