Deery Brothers Inc. is seeking a General Motors Automotive Service Technician to join our team in West Burlington, IA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance on vehicles
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
- Repairing and replacing parts as needed
- Testing vehicle systems
- Providing excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Technician
- General Motors certification preferred
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills

Deery Brothers of West Burlington underwent a recent multi-million-dollar renovation to accommodate our growing business leaving us with a state-of-the-art showroom, service department, detail center and our award-winning Toyota Certified collision center.

Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
- Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
- Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 years of experience as an auto technician
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
- Fast, eager learner and team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
