Temporary Call Center Representative (6 Openings)
$17/hour
Start Dates: September 14 or September 28
Assignment Ends: November 6 (Temporary Election Season Position)
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM / 1hr lunch break
Election Day (Nov. 3): 6:00 AM until approximately 9:00 PM (OT required) Join the Elections Office during the busy election season! In this temporary role, you'll assist voters and poll workers by answering calls, processing absentee ballot applications, providing voter information, and troubleshooting basic issues.
Qualifications:
- Customer service experience
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to follow procedures and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities - Answer incoming calls from voters, poll workers, and other callers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide accurate voter information and guidance based on established procedures.
- Process absentee ballot applications and enter information into computer systems.
- Troubleshoot basic voter or poll worker questions and escalate issues when needed.
- Maintain calm, clear communication in a fast-paced call center environment.
- Follow all procedures to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and consistent service.
This is a temporary assignment for the election season only and is expected to end on November 6.
